Schadenfreude

Nothing’s funnier than someone else’s misfortune. Whether it’s siblings falling off a roof, small children being chased by swans, or grandparents being torn limb from limb by hungry sharks, the funniest moments are usually at others’ expense.
The trouble is that, if you leave it to fate, you can never predict when, where or to whom a funny thing will happen. That’s why I’ve spent most of this week laying traps for people and filming the consequences.
Last week I filmed my next door neighbour being bitten by her own cat after I threw it from my bedroom window onto her enormous head. Yesterday I filmed ten cars falling into a trench I dug in the main road. And just this morning I lured the vicar into the shed (under the pretence that I had found the image of the Virgin Mary in some grass clippings) and when he was safely inside, I blew the shed up.
