Philippa says, “You don’t need hair to be cool!” I agree. But you do need arms to be surgeon. Thankfully I have both hair and arms, but I am neither cool nor a surgeon.
I suppose technically you could replace one surgeon with two arms, with two part time surgeons each with one arm, as long as their shifts coincided. It wouldn’t really matter if it was two left arms, two right arms or one of each, as long as they had one watch between them.
GPs can get by with only one arm, but the medical profession is agreed that Anaesthetists require three arms. Recently this has caused a worrying increase in arms dealing within the NHS. However Doctors often fail to see the moral issues, they’re just happy to be able to lend a hand where it’s needed.
